The Circulation Department provides all functions dealing with circulation of materials including Interlibrary Loan (ILL) lending and borrowing activities and Course Reserves. Other duties include Scanning, Laminating, Faxing and Stack Management.

Serving library patrons and good customer service is our focus. Our patrons primarily include the faculty, staff, and students of Prairie View A&M University. We also provide service to the residents of the surrounding community.

Circulation staff will check materials in and out, answer directional questions, locate items in the stacks, assist patrons with routine problems, and refer patrons to appropriate library departments. Students, faculty, and staff may check out circulating items by presenting a valid PVAMU ID card.

John B. Coleman Library is open and Access Services (Circulation) is available to serve your needs in person or remotely.

• Books are available for check out in the library building, by curbside pick-up, or delivered by mail.
• If you just need a chapter, send us a request by email and we will scan the chapter and send a .pdf of the pages.
• If we don't have the book you need, use our interlibrary loan service.
• Some books are available both physical and as e-books.
