ABOUT this tool... The Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) is a research collective housed within the Department of Civil and Systems Engineering (CaSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU).  They have created an interactive web-based dashboard to track COVID-19 in real time, which is available to the general public online.  You can read more about its sources and background information on the real-time tracking tool at "Mapping 2019-nCoV."

ABOUT this tool...  BNO News was founded by a small group of journalists to provide coverage of breaking news and developing stories.  They are committed to accurate, fair, and independent coverage of U.S. and international news. They are privately owned and have no links to political parties or activist groups.

ABOUT this tool... the creator is 17-year-old Avi Schiffmann, a high school junior from Mercer Island outside Seattle, who started the site in late December, when coronavirus had not yet been detected outside of China. Now the site has been visited by tens of millions from every country on Earth. It tracks deaths, numbers of cases locally and globally, and provides an interactive map, information on the disease, and a Twitter feed. The resource updates every minute or so, and pulls information from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and elsewhere.
