Information Technology and Electronic Resources:

Describe all learning resources provided by electronic means:

e-Learning can be defined as 'learning facilitated and supported through the use of information and communications technology'. It can cover a spectrum of activities from the use of technology to support learning as part of a ‘blended’ approach (a combination of traditional and e-learning approaches), to learning that is delivered entirely online. Whatever the technology, however, learning is the vital element.”
JISC e-learning definition from http://www.jisc.ac.uk/elearning

Computer resources dedicated to library/learning resources:

The Library Learning Commons (LLC) will be a product of integrated services involving learning, research and project space. The LLC will incorporate library, computer, and the Learning Assistance and Testing Center into adjacent areas. These services will collaborate to accommodate students and community patrons.
The Library Learning Commons is evolving to accommodate new teaching and learning models. Students are more involved in electronic and collaborative projects. Many patrons are also taking online or virtual courses using course management systems, such as Blackboard, which require them to be more technologically savvy.
The LLC will feature digital collections, an e-book collection of more than 80,000 items, a wealth of electronic databases and technology, such as iPads, and LCD monitors.
