Apply GIS tools to analyze spatial data and model urban environments: To utilize Geographic Information Systems in planning the built-in natural environments to understand and visualize spatial relationships through information modeling. 4B, 5A – ACCE8
Utilize spatial analysis techniques in urban and regional planning projects: This objective emphasizes applying geographical information systems methodologies to real-world planning projects, in site selection, and urban development. 5F – ACCE8
Integrate geospatial data to assess and propose sustainable urban development solutions: This outcome highlights the use of geographical information systems to support sustainable development decisions, such as optimizing the construction of capital improvement plans , enhancing green infrastructure, and improving transportation systems. 4B, 5A – ACCE8
Employ GIS-based simulation tools to evaluate urban design proposals: This objective involves using geospatial to simulate and assess the impacts of community design interventions, aiding in the optimization of development for better environmental and social outcomes. 5A – ACCE8
Create detailed maps and visualizations to support urban planning processes: This focuses on the technical skills of producing clear, informative geo spatial visualizations and information modeling maps that can communicate complex geographic data to a variety of stakeholders. 4B – ACCE8
