Serving library patrons and good customer service is our focus. Our patrons primarily include the faculty, staff, and students of Prairie View A&M University. We also provide service to the residents of the surrounding community

Circulation Department

The Circulation Department provides all functions dealing with the circulation of materials including books and other printed items, Interlibrary Loan (ILL) lending and borrowing activities, activities associated with video tapes, cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs, TVs, and other audio/visual items/equipment, Course Reserves. Other duties include the processing of TexShare Cards, Room reservations, Faxing, Stack Management, and Lamination.

Circulation staff will check materials in and out, answer directional questions, locate items in the stacks, assist patrons with routine problems, and refer patrons to appropriate library departments. Students, faculty, and staff may check out circulating items by presenting a valid PVAMU ID card.

Whenever the building is closed, please return books to the book drop located on the west side of the Coleman Library near the Dunkin' entrance.
