This is a class guide for PVAMU's MATH 1316 Course which will focus on some available resources for students. Here you will find reference materials based on the sections outlined in your syllabus, as well as guidance on implementing your required & further reading to help you excel in the course. In addition to the material put forth, this guide will outline strategies for how to implement the library's resources & services.

Precalculus Third Edition by Paul Sisson
This is the required reading for MATH 1316. Purchase comes with a virtual learning software, and an eBook. Additionally, you can add a Textbook or guided notebook to the package. Ask your professor which option is best for you.

Topics that will be covered in MATH 1316: trig functions; trig. identities; additional trig. topics (law of sines/ cosines, polar coordinates, parametric equations, complex numbers, vectors. the dot product, and hyperbolic functions).

The course begins with an overview of trigonometric functions. See Sisson chapter 7.

Interactive Unit Circle
Click the link to see an interactive unit circle. Here you can see the relationship between angles (in radian and degree form), and trigonometric functions.
Schaum's Outline of trigonometry
This outline has a detailed array of trigonometric functions and identities. Some sections you might find useful are: 8) basic relationships and identities, 9) trigonometric functions of two angles, and 14) trigonometric equations. The course of this resource is slightly different than that of your required reading.
