The National Agricultural Library’s Agricultural Law Information Partnership is hosting a virtual event on Friday, May 19th from 1:00-4:30 pm (EDT).
During the first hour, we will hear from guest speakers April Jones, farmer and founder of Pinehurst Farmers Market and Pinehurst Consulting, and Bazile Panek, a proud member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe and consultant for the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP). They will discuss seed saving, the importance of culturally relevant foods, how food connects communities and individuals to their culture, and how culturally relevant foods create healthier communities.
Beginning at 2:30 pm, a Wikipedia editing training session and editing time will focus on seed saving, culturally relevant foods, food programs, and nutrition.
