Circulation Department

The Circulation Department provides all functions dealing with circulation of materials including Interlibrary Loan (ILL) lending and borrowing activities, activities associated with video tapes, cassette tapes, Cd’s, DVDs, TVs, and other audio/visual items/equipment, Course Reserves, Electronic Reserves. Other duties include the processing of TexShare and Community Cards, Room reservations, Faxing and Stack Management.

Serving library patrons and good customer service is our focus. Our patrons primarily include the faculty, staff, and students of Prairie View A&M University. We also provide service to the residents of the surrounding community.

Circulation staff will check materials in and out, answer directional questions, locate items in the stacks, assist patrons with routine problems, and refer patrons to appropriate library departments. Students, faculty, and staff may check out circulating items by presenting a valid PVAMU ID card.
