The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) operates a headquarters and Northeast Regional Outreach Office in Alexandria, Virginia, and four additional regional outreach offices across the nation. Combined with our examining corps, our outreach offices provide inventors, entrepreneurs, and small businesses with a USPTO presence in every U.S. time zone. For more information on how to contact our USPTO offices and business centers, visit our Contact us page.
The Southwest Regional Outreach Office, formerly known as Texas Regional Office, is located in the Terminal Annex Federal Building of downtown Dallas. Opened in 2015, our goal is to promote innovation and stimulate the economy by connecting inventors and entrepreneurs to government resources, supporting students and teachers through our STEM education programs, gathering feedback from regional stakeholders, educating the public about intellectual property, and recruiting diverse talent from the region.
